Site Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in major urban projects in partnership with the STM and the City of Montreal, including engineering and public domain works.
• Coordinate interdisciplinarily with project engineers, designers, and internal stakeholders.
• Supervise and support site inspectors in resolving technical issues and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Ensure contract compliance and quality assurance for all works executed by the contractor.
• Analyze technical, safety, and traffic issues on-site and propose adapted solutions.
• Manage change requests, change orders, and contingent works, including required documentation.
• Prepare monthly payment recommendations and analyze contractor claims.
• Manage impacts on traffic and maintain flow, specifically regarding complex road safety and fluidity issues.
• Develop and apply quality surveillance plans and participate in work receptions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Municipal, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Knowledge of the City of Montreal's Technical Standardized Documents (DTNI).
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry.
• Excellent written communication skills in French.
