Site Engineer

Responsibilities

• Setting out work across facilities and supervising specialist subcontractors on site
• Collaborating with permanent civils, structures engineers, and temporary works engineers to ensure proper designs, checks, and approvals are in place
• Conducting all necessary safety, health, and environmental inspections in line with Kier minimum safety standards
• Compiling quality records using Kier's Quality Management System and ensuring subcontractors have all necessary Inspection and Test Plans approved
• Ensuring all engineering activities are successfully delivered on time, on budget, and to the required standard of accuracy and coordination

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role within the construction industry, ideally in a main contracting environment
• Relevant construction qualification (HND/Degree/SVQ) or technical trade qualification
• Strong IT literacy
• Competent operation of setting out and levelling equipment (Total Stations and Digital Levels)
• Experience with high-value civil and structural work packages
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to manage tasks independently and interpret technical standards
