About the role
Responsibilities
- Review Contractor’s Fire & Life Safety (FLS) packages based on NFPA, SBC, and GDCD requirements
- Conduct technical reviews of FLS shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
- Perform building code and gap analysis on contractor submissions
- Assess construction site fire safety and occupational health hazards
- Conduct frequent site inspections, data collection, and reporting for passive and active fire systems
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover inspections
- Review and approve contractor emergency response procedures, fire risk assessments, and evacuation plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 4+ years of Middle East project experience in design review, construction supervision, or fire protection inspections
- Proven experience in FLS calculations and reporting
- Experience with Fire Protection, Suppression, Fire Alarm systems, and Ventilation
- Ability to liaise with local authorities, contractors, and clients for occupancy certificates
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- NFPA 13, 20, 72, or 2001 certifications from approved instructors
