Site Engineer - Fire & Life Safety

Responsibilities

• Review Contractor’s Fire & Life Safety (FLS) packages based on NFPA, SBC, and GDCD codes
• Conduct technical reviews of FLS shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
• Perform building code and gap analysis on contractor submissions
• Assess construction site fire safety and occupational health and safety hazards
• Conduct frequent site inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover for passive and active fire systems
• Review and approve contractor emergency response procedures, fire risk assessments, and evacuation plans

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years of Middle East project experience in design review, construction supervision, or fire protection inspections
• Proven experience in FLS calculations and reporting
• Experience with Fire Protection, Suppression, Fire Alarm systems, and Ventilation
• Ability to liaise with local authorities, contractors, and clients for occupancy certificates
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• NFPA 13, 20, 72, or 2001 certifications from approved instructors
