About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Health & Safety for staff and subcontractors
- Plan, coordinate, and manage Foremen and subcontractors
- Produce method statements, work instructions, and risk assessments
- Plan and coordinate resources including plant, materials, and labour
- Liaise with clients, third parties, and stakeholders
- Collect and collate QA documentation for final records
- Ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001:1999, ISO 9001:2000, and ISO 14001:2004 standards
Requirements
- Demonstrable industry experience in a similar role
- Recognised Safety Qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
- Experience managing sub-contractors and recording measurement details
- Experience with enabling works, access roads, and foundation construction in power transmission
- Proven coordination with third parties like local councils and highway authorities
- Willingness to work away from home regularly for prolonged periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience in construction, access works, traffic management, or scaffolds
- Experience with metal access roads, yard setup, or welfare facilities
