Site EHS Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures aligned with Canadian and US regulations and ISO standards (14001, 45001, 9001)
• Lead critical safety and environmental initiatives within a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses (JHA, HAZOP), and ergonomic evaluations
• Manage environmental reporting, waste characterization, and regulatory submissions
• Champion a "Commitment to Safety" culture through behavior-based safety programs and employee engagement forums
• Track leading and lagging indicators to drive KPI performance and validate program effectiveness
• Design and deliver tailored EHS training programs for diverse stakeholders
• Provide coaching and mentorship to cross-functional teams to embed EHS values into operational excellence

Requirements

• Diploma in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
• 7-10 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• 3-5 years of experience managing a team
• 3-5 years of experience managing EHS across multiple sites
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, 45001, and 9001 standards
• Proficiency in EHS digital platforms, data analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for influencing matrixed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional EHS Certification (e.g., CRSP, NCSO, CSP, CHMM, CIH, or PE)
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology
