Site Deployment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to assist with Portal delivery, unloading, assembly, and installation
• Support mechanical setup, power-up, and system validation onsite
• Configure and test networking, connectivity, and AV systems
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, or installation issues during deployments
• Assist with shipment preparation and deployment readiness at the Fab Lab
• Support coordination of installation logistics and site readiness
• Document deployment outcomes, issues, and lessons learned
• Support assembly, build, and integration work for Portals in the Fab Lab when not traveling

Requirements

• Experience in field installation, AV deployment, hardware setup, or technical operations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort assembling physical systems
• Willingness to travel frequently for deployments (40%–60%)
• Basic networking or WiFi setup experience
• AV installation or low-voltage wiring experience
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 25 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
