Site Coordinator, Correctional Education

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for correctional education staff and students at the assigned facility.
• Act as a liaison between facility staff, incarcerated students, and Ashland University.
• Oversee daily operations, including student recruitment, screening, and orientation.
• Assist students with application paperwork, digital submissions, and navigating financial aid processes.
• Support academic success by proctoring exams and assisting with the recording and uploading of assignments.
• Manage site inventory, including end-user devices, textbooks, and instructional supplies.
• Organize student extracurricular activities, such as commencement and incentive programs.
• Maintain student privacy and records in compliance with FERPA and Department of Corrections (DOC) regulations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required.
• Proficiency with Learning Management System (LMS) software and MS Office.
• Basic computer troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to pass both Department of Corrections (DOC) and Ashland University background checks.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to be physically present at the correctional facility for at least 80% of the work week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Previous experience working in correctional education or higher education environments.
