About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance of a commercial site
- Manage garbage disposal and litter picking
- Clean hardscape surfaces and perform landscape maintenance
- Conduct inventory of consumables
- Perform tool repairs using small engine and hand tools
- Complete all required site reports
- Support company yard and workshop upkeep
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries
Requirements
- Ability to lift more than 50 lbs
- Capability to bend, crouch, twist, and stand/walk for long periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Availability for 7 days per week (2-4 hours per day)
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications (Red Seal, Certified Landscape Technician, or Pesticide Applicator License)
- Experience in outdoor, laborious positions
- 2+ years of industry experience or equivalent education
- Experience with landscape machinery (mowers, line trimmers, blowers)
- Small engine repair experience
- Knowledge of local plant life
