Simulation Tech

Responsibilities

• Prepare simulation laboratories and clinical settings to facilitate student learning in healthcare environments
• Maintain inventory of equipment, including manikins, computers, and IV pumps
• Perform basic maintenance, repairs, or coordinate repairs for lab equipment
• Manage consumable supplies, including simulated medications and body fluids
• Create moulage to model physiological responses for various scenarios
• Provide technical support by programming simulation scenarios and updating software
• Assist faculty with the operation of manikin software and viewing/recording equipment during scenarios
• Set up and tear down simulated clinical settings and restore rooms to pre-scenario conditions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand operating instructions
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to take direction from multiple people
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer programs and Microsoft Office
• Ability to interact effectively and courteously with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a simulation technician or simulation operations specialist
• Experience with systems integration
• Healthcare industry experience
