Simulation Lab Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities and services for the simulation labs within the School of Nursing.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and technology, including performing simple repairs and managing inventory.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop, implement, and refine simulation scenarios and lab activities.
• Create, maintain, and supervise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the safe use of labs and equipment.
• Assist with software upgrades and interface with IT departments and technology vendors.
• Orient students, faculty, and staff to simulation lab policies and procedures.
• Support program sessions and special events, requiring flexibility in work hours.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Active, unencumbered Texas RN license.
• At least 3 years of RN experience (medical-surgical experience preferred).
• Strong computer troubleshooting skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings or evenings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in simulation.
• Previous experience working with simulation equipment and technology.
• Experience with Gaumard or Laerdal simulator training.
