About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop physically based simulation systems for robotics, industrial automation, and digital twins.
- Collaborate with teams across PhysX, Newton, Omniverse, Isaac Sim, and Isaac Lab to enhance simulation capabilities.
- Develop and improve methods for multibody dynamics, contact and friction, flexible-body behavior, deformables, and numerical solvers.
- Integrate simulation with robotics and engineering workflows involving ROS 2, CAD/URDF pipelines, OpenUSD assets, and HIL/SIL environments.
- Scale advanced simulation algorithms on GPUs and provide technical leadership and mentorship across the organization.
Requirements
- B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, Applied Math, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in simulation software or building simulation technology for real-world systems.
- Deep knowledge in multibody dynamics, constrained systems, contact/friction, articulations, or solver design.
- Experience validating simulators against physical systems using HIL/SIL workflows or test correlation.
- Proficiency with robotics-system integration tools including ROS 2, CAD, URDF, or OpenUSD.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GPU accelerated computing, including CUDA or Warp.
- Experience with reinforcement learning, sim-to-real robotics workflows, or large-scale robotics simulation.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA platforms such as Omniverse, PhysX, Isaac Sim, or Isaac Lab.
- Publications in top-tier venues like ICRA, IROS, RSS, SIGGRAPH, or NeurIPS.
