Simulation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software simulators and models of the AI accelerator, including functional/ISA simulators and cycle-approximate performance models
• Build pre-silicon development surfaces such as golden reference models, co-simulation, and validation harnesses
• Optimize simulator performance using multithreading, JIT, or binary translation
• Correlate models against RTL, emulation, and first silicon to ensure accuracy
• Develop AI-assisted tool flows to accelerate model development and validation

Requirements

• Exceptional modern C++ for performance-critical systems software
• Strong Python for tooling and infrastructure
• 5+ years of experience building simulators, emulators, virtual platforms, or large-scale systems software
• Solid computer architecture fundamentals including pipelines, memory hierarchy, and ISAs
• Strong software engineering practices including testing, CI, profiling, and debugging

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gem5, QEMU, SystemC-TLM, or Spike
• Knowledge of JIT or dynamic binary translation
• Exposure to ML frameworks, workloads, or compiler/runtime development
• Experience with distributed simulation or HW/SW co-design
