Simulation-Based Education Instructional IT Support Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated IT support for the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Simulation-Based Education Program
• Manage and support information systems, collaboration tools, and simulation management systems
• Collaborate with faculty, IT staff, and Simulation Program staff to plan and implement system upgrades
• Support users in the adoption of new technologies and instructional tools
• Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships within the department and university

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technology field and 1 year of professional experience (relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis)
• Demonstrated ability to learn and implement new technologies on an ongoing basis
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and support others in technology adoption

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education, specifically working with faculty
• Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas
• Experience with video conferencing tools like Zoom
• Experience with assessment software such as ExamSoft
• Experience with audiovisual technology
