About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide acting talent services to the Simulated Health Center within the School of Nursing and Health Innovations (SONHI).
- Portray simulated characters, including patients, caregivers, and family members, to support specific learning objectives.
- Participate in various on-campus settings such as acute care hospital simulations, telehealth outpatient care, and home environments.
- Engage in scheduled training and rehearsals.
- Receive and implement feedback from simulation faculty to adjust character portrayals as directed.
- Adhere to all University policies and school guidelines.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to portray diverse characters and individuals with differing physical abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and receive constructive supervisory direction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to quickly learn and use new technologies and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience in healthcare simulation.
