Simplified Mandarin Transcriber

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content into text format
• Follow project-specific guidelines regarding formatting, punctuation, and grammar
• Adhere to client-specific Written Domain Conventions and "clean room" policies
• Review and proofread transcripts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Manage time effectively to meet established deadlines and maintain high productivity
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with strict discretion and professionalism
• Report technical issues promptly and suggest process improvements

Requirements

• Fluent reading, writing, understanding, and typing in Simplified Mandarin (cmn_hans_cn)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided)
• Ability to pass a language assessment test
• Reliable transportation for on-site work in Glendale, CA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Ability to remain seated and wear headphones for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Typing speed of 40 WPM in Simplified Mandarin or higher
• Additional training in linguistics, transcription, or related fields
• Ability to understand a wide range of accents and dialects
