Silicon Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the silicon reliability qualification strategy for new technologies based on risk assessment.
• Define and maintain qualification plans for process and device technologies, including tests, sampling, and acceptance criteria.
• Review qualification data for internal and foundry technologies to ensure compliance with NXP expectations.
• Drive and track reliability stress testing and data analysis regarding wear-out mechanisms and latent defects.
• Participate in design reliability reviews and provide guidance on corrective actions and product stressing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including design, product, test, and systems engineering to de-risk new products.
• Support investigations into reliability-related escapes or anomalies through root-cause analysis and containment.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor reliability engineering, technology qualification, or reliability physics.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, reliability modeling, and mathematics.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistics.
• Working knowledge of circuit design and product stressing.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with device development in Digital, Mixed Signal, RF, or High Voltage domains.
• Ability to work effectively within international and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience working with external foundry partners and reviewing foundry qualification data.
