Signalling T&C Electrical Tester

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning activities for railway signaling technologies to ensure system quality and safety
• Install, replace, and repair electrical control and distribution equipment
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, circuit diagrams, and relay logic
• Apply Lock Out Tag Out procedures and ensure strict adherence to safety compliance
• Develop and review technical reports and test procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and installation teams to meet project milestones

Requirements

• Valid 309A Electrical License (Ontario) or eligibility to transfer to Ontario
• Red Seal certification
• Minimum 5 years of commercial and residential electrical experience
• Solid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and relay logic
• Completed ARC Flash, WHMIS, and Working from Heights training
• Valid G Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Proficiency in standard computer applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of signaling testing and commissioning
• Familiarity with Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR) and Transport Canada standards
• Metrolinx Personal Track Safety certification or experience with Metrolinx systems
