About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of signaling-related civil works, from design through construction and site execution.
- Manage signaling civil design and construction teams to ensure alignment between engineering outputs and field execution.
- Define, plan, and apply project strategies to meet contractual commitments and QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Performance) objectives.
- Coordinate interfaces with Heavy Civils and Track Works partners to ensure effective sequencing and constructability.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, opportunities, and deviations impacting project objectives.
- Plan, monitor, and control project scope, schedule, resources, and costs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable rules, standards, and processes, including EHS, Railway Safety, and Quality.
- Represent Alstom to customers, partners, and external stakeholders as delegated by the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, STEM discipline, or Project Management.
- At least 15 years of professional experience, including 7+ years in a project leadership role within rail systems, infrastructure, or major construction projects.
- Proven experience managing civil design and construction activities within a multi-disciplinary systems delivery environment.
- Experience working in partnered or multi-contractor project models with strong interface management skills.
- Direct experience with civil works in Ontario, Canada, including familiarity with PEO requirements, permitting, and approvals.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multi-site and multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites within Canada and occasionally abroad.
