Signal Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide field services and troubleshooting for traffic management systems
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and testing of traffic signal cabinets
• Configure traffic signal controllers for NEMA, CALTRANS, and ATC cabinets
• Modify traffic signal cabinets according to pre-engineered designs
• Support field operations for integration projects and signal timing strategies
• Represent the company on-site and assist with application engineering and estimating

Requirements

• Familiarity with programming traffic signal controllers and analyzing signal operations
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic principles for traffic equipment
• Practical knowledge of fiber optic network integration
• Ability to interpret design plans for quality assurance
• Knowledge of MUTCD standard traffic control procedures
• Familiarity with TIA/EIA-568 cabling standards
• Valid driver's license with a good driving history
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work in the field approximately 70% of the time in diverse weather

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in traffic signal operations and electrical power systems
• IMSA Traffic Signal Level II certification
