Signal Integrity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and develop next generation technologies for networking, server, and storage products
• Act as a subject matter expert in digital PCB design planning, simulation, and lab verification
• Perform design reviews of critical PCBs for signal integrity concerns
• Provide innovative solutions to complex and sensitive hardware problems
• Serve as a technical consultant and leader for the team
• Engage with customers and suppliers regarding product roadmaps and support
• Communicate project progress and program goals effectively

Requirements

• 5-20+ years of experience in High Speed Signal Delivery Design and Evaluation
• Experience with complex PCBAs (36+ layers)
• Expertise in single-ended and differential signaling up to 50Gbps (NRZ and PAM4)
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D simulation tools such as ADS, ANSYS HFSS, or Sigrity
• Proficiency with Allegro or similar layout and schematic tools
• Experience with TDR and VNA measurements in a lab environment
• Ability to develop custom test fixtures and adhoc probing solutions
• Knowledge of PCB stack up design, fabrication limitations, and high-frequency materials
• Experience with flex circuit design for high-speed signaling

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
