About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform package extraction for time domain and frequency domain analysis
  • Conduct system-level analysis for DDR, SerDes, and mixed-signal interfaces
  • Provide technical design guidelines for package design to optimize system performance
  • Develop and automate design and analysis flows
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation and presentations
  • Collaborate with IC, Package, and PCB designers to meet system-level constraints prior to package tape-out
  • Partner with PHY owners to understand specifications for IPs such as PCIe, UFS, USB, MIPI, and LPDDR

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in DDR/SerDes within Package, PCB, or System Design related to mobile or IoT standards
  • Strong expertise in Electromagnetics, transmission line theory, and crosstalk
  • Proficiency in field solvers such as HFSS, Q3D, Sentinel-PSI, or Clarity
  • Experience with simulation tools including ADS or Hspice
  • Working knowledge of Cadence Allegro/APD/Sip or Mentor Xpedition
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing AI to improve engineering efficiency
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as C/C++, Perl, or Python
  • Experience with Matlab
  • Familiarity with design specifications including LPDDRx, MIPI (CSI, DSI), PCIe, or UFS
  • Master's degree with 3–4 years of experience, or a Ph.D.
