Shuttle/Escort Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttle buses and multi-passenger vans on predetermined routes and on-call to student residences
• Ensure the safety and security of passengers by reporting suspicious activity or medical emergencies
• Conduct visual and physical inspections of assigned vehicles before, during, and at the end of shifts
• Report hazardous road conditions, traffic citations, or maintenance concerns immediately
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform refueling as needed
• Adhere to all PA Vehicle Code laws and Federal DOT regulations for CDL operators
• Follow all established department guidelines, routes, and instructions from the Transportation Manager

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of previous driving experience
• Valid PA Driver's License
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (Class A or B, no air brake restriction)
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate
• Successful background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
• PA Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)
• Ability to pass a fitness for duty assessment and medical exam
• Consent to FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and MVR queries
