Shuttle Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate a shuttle, bus, or van safely and courteously to transport passengers around campus and the Village of Hamilton
• Follow all University policies, procedures, and DOT standards while operating vehicles
• Conduct required vehicle inspections and perform daily cleaning and fueling
• Maintain scheduled routes and report any delays, changes, or mechanical issues to the supervisor
• Use two-way radio communication systems in compliance with University guidelines
• Provide helpful shuttle service information to students, faculty, and staff
• Attend all required training sessions and meetings per University, federal, and state requirements

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) C, B, or A in good standing with Passenger endorsements
• Meet 19-A qualifications and pass a DOT physical examination
• At least three years of professional driving experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to utilize two-way radio communications and basic computer skills
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
• Compliance with pre-employment and continued random drug screenings
