Responsibilities

• Move various material trailers and perform material handling using a shunter
• Receive metal and transport it to appropriate locations
• Unload trucks and verify material quality
• Move carcasses and other ferrous materials to the shredder loading area
• Transport non-ferrous material bins
• Perform material identification tests using appropriate products or magnets
• Evaluate non-salable cuts
• Conduct physical inventory of stock according to the established schedule
• Record material weights arriving and leaving the site in reports
• Grease and lubricate machine parts as needed
• Wash the machine when required

Requirements

• Ability to drive and operate a manual heavy truck
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• At least one year of experience in a similar role
• Strong awareness of occupational health and safety
• Good priority management and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
