Show Set Designer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document attraction scenic and show elements using architectural and CAD software.
• Create virtual and physical models, scene studies, renders, plans, sections, and drawing packages that depict design and art direction.
• Integrate show, facility, and equipment elements into a cohesive creative environment.
• Develop presentation materials including sketches, storyboards, layouts, illustrations, and elevations.
• Coordinate with various disciplines including engineering, operations, and architects of record to ensure technical feasibility.
• Participate in design, cost, schedule, and technical reviews to solve complex integration challenges.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to staff to build team strength and maintain design standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Fine Arts, Design, Theatre, Graphics, Computer Animation, or a related field.
• Proven experience within an attraction development environment.
• Proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong technical and artistic ability with experience in scenic design and drafting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced 3D computer modeling and rendering skills (e.g., 3ds Max, Maya).
• Proficiency with Adobe Graphics software.
• Experience managing complex show set design packages from conception through execution.
