Show Programmer

Responsibilities

• Ideate, develop, and execute programmable ride and show elements, including figure animation, motion bases, and ride systems.
• Design and animate show elements integrated with ride systems and media to maintain the "illusion of life."
• Manage pre-production and production efforts with third-party vendors to ensure technical and creative alignment.
• Utilize 3D simulation processes to drive design decisions and ensure guest and team member safety.
• Develop motion profiles that synchronize precisely with media and show choreography.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Safety, and Creative teams to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Architecture, Fine Arts, Design, Theatre, Computer Animation).
• Proven experience in show programming development for attractions involving motion simulators or animated figures.
• Strong technical skills in 3D modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, and rendering.
• Proficiency in Maya and/or 3D Studio Max.
• Ability to develop custom scripts in 3D animation software for data analysis and motion profiles.
• Strong understanding of spatial and temporal relationships regarding mechanical and character motion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD or other computer modeling software.
• Knowledge of ASTM limits and Kinetosis boundaries regarding motion control and sensory stimulation.
