Show Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation and maintenance of all Walt Disney Theatre Show Control elements including lighting, video projection, and pyrotechnic systems
• Install, set-up, and operate all Show Control Systems and equipment
• Test, maintain, and fire Pyrotechnic and Laser systems for theatre and outdoor deck parties
• Maintain proper stock of show consumables
• Provide direction to the Stage Lighting/Special Effects Technician for equipment maintenance
• Perform emergency abbreviated shows based on weather or safety requirements
• Contribute to load in/out, cast changeovers, and new show installations

Requirements

• Minimum five years of show production experience in a similar role
• Experience with programming and maintaining sophisticated theatre lighting systems and moving lights
• Proficiency with video projection, theatrical special effects, and computerized show control systems
• Experience with grandMA lighting consoles
• Ability to work at heights and in environments with haze, fog, and dry ice
• Willingness to live and work onboard a vessel in a multicultural environment
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and criminal background check
