Shopify Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Build and integrate custom Shopify apps and third-party plugins
• Optimize store performance, page speed, and mobile responsiveness
• Collaborate with design teams to implement pixel-perfect storefronts from Figma
• Manage product listings, collections, metafields, and store configurations
• Integrate third-party tools including payment gateways, shipping providers, and ERP systems
• Troubleshoot bugs and conduct regular store audits
• Implement landing pages and campaign-specific UI changes for marketing
• Ensure compliance with SEO, accessibility, and data privacy standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Shopify development
• Strong proficiency in Liquid templating language
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with Shopify CLI, Theme Kit, and Git
• Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs
• Knowledge of Shopify's Online Store 2.0 architecture
• Experience integrating ecosystem apps like Klaviyo or Judge.me

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Shopify Plus advanced features
• Exposure to headless commerce using Shopify Hydrogen or Storefront API
• Familiarity with React.js or Node.js
• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and GTM
• Understanding of A/B testing and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
