Shop Worker

Responsibilities

• Operate dining service platforms in a timely and efficient manner
• Greet and serve customers while processing meal cards and cash transactions
• Prepare and stock necessary supplies for food court operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and neat workstation
• Perform food preparation tasks including slicing and cooking as assigned
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures
• Assist with the setup and teardown of meal and daily operations

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for up to 4 hours at a time
• Effective English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to visually differentiate colors for food safety purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience in a food preparation position
• Experience in a high-volume a la carte operation
• Proven customer service and cash register experience (MICROS preferred)
• Working knowledge of standard commercial kitchen equipment
• Current ServSafe certification
• Experience working with students and diverse multicultural staff
