Shop Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and repair for company-owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts
• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Maintain complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Use laptops and tablets for electronic documentation and work orders
• Assist in training lower-level technicians
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts

Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks like bending and stooping
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade school certificate
• At least 10 years of experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
• Experience with online parts portals and parts diagrams
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
