Shop Technician 1

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment failures within the shop environment and execute necessary repairs
• Set up and operate equipment at the Leduc service center, either independently or as part of a technical team

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of experience working on Cummins, Volvo, or Jenbacher diesel or natural gas-powered generators and compressors
• Experience performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on diesel or natural gas equipment
• Ability to read and understand technical schematics
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements
• Valid driver’s license and a valid Passport
• Physical ability to move or lift objects, typically up to 75 lbs
