Shop Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems
• Perform planned maintenance to ensure equipment performance
• Collaborate with the Service Manager and other departments to meet customer needs
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the shop or field
• Use computers and communication tools to document repairs

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair or technical certification/associate’s degree
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to obtain a forklift license
• Possession of a personal tool set for heavy equipment repair
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Physical ability to handle loads up to 55 lbs and maneuver around/under equipment
