Shop Helper II

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of battery and pneumatic hand tools including grinders, welders, drills, and hammer drills
• Perform fabrication prep duties such as sandblasting, washing parts, drilling holes, and deburring
• Use welding equipment to fabricate fittings
• Assist with painting and general shop clean-up
• Operate a forklift to move materials
• Support various departments as needed to maintain a well-organized work area
• Demonstrate safe working practices and adhere to company core values

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience assisting in a manufacturing or shop environment
• Current forklift certification
• Practical welding experience
• Strong construction knowledge
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and moving mechanical parts
