Shop Foreman

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of HVAC equipment and ancillary materials
• Ensure all items are properly labeled, stored, and tracked
• Stage equipment in the shop and yard for testing and repair under direction of National Service Leader
• Participate in equipment testing and minor repairs
• Direct shop technicians to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule
• Monitor work quality and provide guidance on safety and performance standards
• Pull and prepare ancillary materials for outgoing jobs
• Inspect and inventory equipment upon return from job sites
• Operate forklifts and Yard Dog vehicles to move equipment
• Assist with equipment installations and breakdowns at job sites as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, or rental equipment operations
• Proficient with forklifts and warehouse operation
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers (Smartphone, iPad)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds frequently
• Ability to work in diverse conditions including extreme weather and noisy environments
• Ability to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
