Shop Floor Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and minor electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and industrial sewing machines
• Respond to maintenance requests from supervisors and production managers in a timely manner
• Execute planned preventative maintenance according to the established program and schedule
• Lubricate, clean, and maintain machinery, equipment, and tools
• Program PS700/800 machines and assist with line design
• Perform template design and implementation for Richpeace, Juki PS700, and PS800 machines
• Communicate downtime or maintenance issues to the Production Manager to minimize impact on production
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas and comply with all safety regulations

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 5 years of general maintenance experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience working specifically with industrial sewing machines
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of sewing equipment
• Ability to program PS700/800 and perform template design for Richpeace and Juki machines
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office and Excel
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Building trades’ certificate or equivalent
