Shop Floor Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and minor electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on production equipment and industrial sewing machines
• Respond to maintenance requests from supervisors and production managers in a timely manner
• Execute planned preventative maintenance according to the established program and schedule
• Lubricate, clean, and maintain machinery, equipment, and tools to ensure optimal performance
• Program PS700/800 machines and assist with line design
• Perform template design and implementation for Richpeace, Juki PS700, and PS800 machines
• Maintain adequate parts, supplies, and equipment for the production and maintenance departments
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 5 years of professional maintenance experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience working specifically with industrial sewing machines
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of sewing equipment
• Proficiency in programming PS700/800 and template design for Richpeace and Juki
• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50lbs
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Building trades’ certificate or equivalent qualification
