Shipping Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track all shipments via FedEx, UPS, and other couriers to provide timely updates to leadership.
• Act as a primary liaison between national couriers, clients, and internal departments to ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure shipment accuracy by monitoring delivery systems for correct destination addresses and delivery times.
• Proactively monitor weather patterns across the U.S. to mitigate potential delivery delays.
• Resolve shipment errors, exceptions, and challenges, escalating unresolved issues when necessary.
• Prepare shipping reports and follow procedures in client contracts to ensure accurate invoicing and credits.
• Coordinate return requests from clients and collaborate with the inventory supervisor on package retrieval and crediting.
• Participate in company quality initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with privacy, security, and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (quantitative analysis, pivot tables, and formulas).
• Experience using shipping and delivery platforms such as FedEx or UPS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with employees and clients.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a shipping role.
• Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare environment.
• Experience with JIRA or other customer portal software.
