Shipping Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping operations, including coordinating shipments and preparing orders for dispatch.
• Supervise and train team members, including data entry staff and forklift operators, to ensure safe and efficient performance.
• Verify the accuracy of all shipments and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Manage inventory of shipping supplies such as boxes, tape, and labels.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping activities, including tracking numbers, weights, and delivery times.
• Prepare detailed reports on shipping volumes, delivery performance, and operational issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure orders are shipped on time and in full.
• Develop and implement new procedures to improve the efficiency of shipping operations.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of professional experience in a logistics or shipping environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within shipping or logistics.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage diverse personnel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of shipping procedures and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and the preparation of operational reports.
• Hands-on experience with shipping equipment and strict adherence to safety protocols.
