Shipping Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily outbound shipment processes, including order allocation, picking, checking, and scheduling.
• Supervise and provide direction to warehouse staff and vendors to ensure safety and adherence to company policies.
• Plan and schedule resource requirements to optimize the picking process and meet daily outbound traffic demands.
• Monitor key performance measures and provide coaching, training, and performance reviews to staff.
• Resolve warehouse issues such as picking or inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate documentation for shipping activities, safety, equipment maintenance, and employee records.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to execute short-term and long-term operational goals.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive experience in a complex warehouse and distribution environment.
• Proficiency with WMS and Inventory Control Applications (Oracle experience preferred).
• Working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) technology and RF gun navigation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
