Shipping Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and integrity of personnel and equipment
• Supervise forklift compliance, checklists, and proper usage
• Manage finished product warehouse to meet shipping schedules
• Coordinate platform availability based on traffic programs
• Oversee daily platform inventory and condition verification
• Ensure accurate updates of loaded platforms in company systems and to carriers/customs
• Monitor staff training and equipment certifications
• Maintain workspace order and report quality issues to the department
• Manage workload balancing, vacations, and personnel needs
• Track performance indicators including shipment volume, absenteeism, and accident rates

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping/outbound logistics
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams of at least 10 people
• Experience using loading programs or systems
• Basic knowledge of logistics and customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and change management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic English (reading and writing)
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys and Ishikawa Diagram
