Shipping Specialist

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the transportation coordinator to follow shipping schedules and prepare documentation including invoices and packing slips
• Coordinate and perform loading of outgoing shipments with proper packaging to prevent damage
• Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality, tagging materials appropriately
• Use pallet jacks and forklifts to move materials throughout the shop and load/unload delivery trucks
• Complete quality check sheets and photograph projects to document quality history
• Identify and report damages, overages, or shortages and update the status board
• Uphold safety policies and participate in training new team members

Requirements

• Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related role
• Forklift experience and ability to use basic hand tools
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use arms and hands for a full workday
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with ERP software (e.g., Infor Visual, Acumatica)
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards
