Shipping Specialist

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the transportation coordinator to follow shipping schedules and prepare documentation including invoices and packing slips
• Coordinate and perform loading of outgoing shipments with proper packaging to prevent damage
• Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality, and tag materials with required information
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to move materials and load/unload delivery trucks
• Complete quality check sheets and photograph projects to document quality history
• Report damages, overages, or shortages and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Uphold safety policies and participate in training new team members

Requirements

• Proven shipping, receiving, or related experience
• Forklift certification or experience
• Basic hand tool skills
• High attention to detail
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Stand, walk, stoop, bend for full workday

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with ERP software such as Infor Visual or Acumatica
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards
