Shipping & Receiving Operator

Responsibilities

• Ensure items shipping meet international and domestic HazMat, IATA, and freighting compliance
• Verify all outgoing shipments by meticulously inspecting, counting, and recording items dispatched
• Accurately complete carrier paperwork and bills of lading, and manage pickup times and deliveries
• Meet lines shipped on-time metrics by coordinating order planning with Production groups
• Create dependable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) records through accurate input entries
• Maintain minimal damages and safe internal transportation practices by operating powerlifting equipment, power jacks, hand trucks, and company trucks
• Report discrepancies or concerns immediately to the appropriate department

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; associates degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in handling, shipping, and receiving of hazardous materials
• Knowledge and experience working with ERP systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• IATA and HazMat certification
• Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise-1
