Shipping/Receiving

Responsibilities

• Perform final visual inspections of completed shafts and parts to ensure quality and correct identification.
• Prepare paint and primer mixtures, clean, prep, and paint shafts, parts, and miscellaneous machinery.
• Package finished goods and accessories according to established procedures, including building shipping crates.
• Manage shipping paperwork for common carriers, including weighing products and labeling containers.
• Receive repair items and complete necessary documentation regarding product type, size, and serial numbers.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of hazardous chemicals and flammables.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area, including the maintenance of paint booth exhaust filters.
• Wear and maintain required safety equipment such as respirators, goggles, and hearing protection.

Requirements

• High school education.
• Specialized training related to the building trades.
• At least six months of experience in painting or the building trades.
• Mathematical aptitude with the ability to perform calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to lift and exert force in excess of 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks including continuous stooping, crouching, reaching, and standing.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clerical personnel and transportation vendors.
