Shipping & Receiving Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, ingredients, and packaging, verifying shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Supply production lines with necessary materials to maintain schedules and minimize downtime.
• Maintain organized warehouse storage, ensuring all materials are properly labeled and stored in designated locations.
• Keep shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Communicate effectively with Production, Quality, and Logistics teams regarding material availability and shipment status.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environments.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse processes.
• Ability to accurately complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
