Shipping & Receiving Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move raw materials, WIP, and finished products throughout the plant
• Utilize scan guns to complete transactions within the ERP system
• Load trucks with finished products for shipment
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in combos
• Fill requisitions and work orders for production areas
• Record amounts of materials received or distributed and verify packing lists
• Clean and maintain equipment, tooling, and workspace to avoid cross-contamination
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and miscellaneous manufacturing tasks

Requirements

• Maintain a safety and quality mindset
• Ability to follow safety and quality guidelines and protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• 1-2 years of experience operating a powered industrial vehicle
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Experience in food or pet food manufacturing
• Experience in an automated manufacturing setting
• Forklift certification
