About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage shipping, receiving, returns, and carrier relations
- Oversee order management and product management for finished goods and raw materials
- Check in and out truck drivers using Carrier Point logistics software
- Assign drivers to specific doors for loading and unloading
- Assign material handlers to loading tasks
- Complete accurate bills of lading and obtain necessary signatures
- Maintain organized office areas, including filing and cleaning duties
- Ensure strict compliance with company safety codes and OSHA standards
- Execute new procedures to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of experience in logistics, shipping, or receiving
- 1 year of working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- 1 year of experience with automated warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Manugistics)
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
