Shipping/Receiving 2

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, and finished products via freight or third-party carriers.
• Check goods against shipping documents, pack goods according to specifications, and prepare bills of lading.
• Unload trucks and verify incoming materials against packing slips and bills of lading to maintain accurate records.
• Utilize material handling equipment, including forklifts, skids, and pallet handlers, to stage materials and load trucks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area, including the shipping/receiving dock doors.
• Inspect products and shipments to ensure conformance to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and production departments to coordinate activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of administrative or operational support experience in shipping or manufacturing operations.
• Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs).
• Physical ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer literacy and knowledge of software programs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet established deadlines.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
