Shipping Loader

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and trailers with 100% accuracy and safety
• Scan all products loaded into trucks
• Load windows, glass, and doors from the production floor to designated trailers by hand
• Manage paperwork including manifests, counting freight, and following special handling instructions
• Use tools such as hand trucks, dock carts, dock plates, and banding devices
• Maintain and clean the dock work area and trailer interiors
• Communicate discrepancies in manifests or trailer load status to supervisors

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in loading (window manufacturing preferred)
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical activity including bending, twisting, and squatting
• Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and communication
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with glass handling or glass knowledge
• Experience moving trailers
